Materials:

• 1 ball Patons Grace Yarn (50 g/1.75 oz)
• 3.25 mm (U.S. 3) crochet hook or size needed to obtain tension
• Stuffing
• Crochet thread stiffener

Gauge:  17 dc and 8 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

Instructions:
Approx height: 8 ins [20.5 cm]

Head

1. Ch 5. Join with sl st to form a ring.
    
2. 1st rnd: 10 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc.
    
3. 2nd rnd: Ch 2 (counts as hdc). 1 hdc in first sc. 2 hdc in each sc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. 20 hdc.
    
4. 3rd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first hdc. 2 sc in next hdc. *1 sc in next hdc. 2 sc in next hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 30 sc.
    
5. 4th rnd: Ch 2. 2 hdc in next sc. *1 hdc in next sc. 2 hdc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. 45 hdc.
    
6. 5th to 9th rnds: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
    
7. 10th rnd: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 2 hdc. (Yoh. Draw up a loop in next hdc) twice. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook - hdc2tog made. *1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. Hdc2tog over next 2 hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. 36 hdc.
    
8. 11th rnd: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. Hdc2tog. *1 hdc in each of next 4 hdc. Hdc2tog. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. 30 hdc.
    
9. 12th rnd: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 2 hdc. Hdc2tog. *1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. Hdc2tog. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. 24 hdc.
    
10. 13th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in next hdc. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 hdc. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook - sc2tog made. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 12 sc.
     
11. 14th and 15th rnds: (Neck). Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. Do not fasten off.

Bodice

1. 1st rnd: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc). 1 dc in first sc. 2 dc in each sc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 24 dc.
    
2. 2nd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. 2 dc in each dc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 48 dc.
    
3. 3rd rnd: Ch 3. 2 dc in next dc. *1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 72 dc.
    
4. 4th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. *Ch 3. Skip next 2 dc. 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * around to last 2 sts. Ch 1. Miss next dc. 1 dc in first sc.
    
5. 5th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 4. 1 sc in next ch-3 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 1. 1 dc in first sc.
    
6. 6th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 4. 1 sc in next ch-4 sp. Ch 3. Ss in first ch - picot made. 1 sc in same sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 1. 1 dc in first sc.
    
7. 7th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 5. 1 sc in next ch-4 sp. Picot. 1 sc in same sp. Rep from * around ending with ch 2. 1 dc in first sc.

10. Stuff Head firmly.

Skirt

1. Ch 5. Join with sl st to form a ring.
    
2. 1st rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 15 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 16 dc.
    
3. 2nd rnd: Ch 3. 2 dc in next dc. *1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 24 dc.
    
4. 3rd and 4th rnds: Ch 3. 1 dc in each dc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.
    
5. 5th rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in next dc. *1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 32 dc.
    
6. 6th rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in next dc. *1 dc in each of next 3 dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 40 dc.
    
7. 7th rnd: Ch 3. 2 dc in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 19 dc. 2 dc in next dc. 1 dc in each dc to end of rnd. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 42 dc.
    
8. 8th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. *Ch 3. Miss next 2 dc. 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * around, ending with ch 1. 1 dc in first sc.
    
9. 9th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 4. 1 sc in next ch-3 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 1. 1 dc in first sc.
    
10. 10th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 5. 1 sc in next ch-4 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 2. 1 dc in first sc.
     
11. 11th and 12th rnds: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 5. 1 sc in next ch-5 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 2. 1 dc in first sc.
     
12. 13th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 6. 1 sc in next ch-5 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 2. 1 dc in first sc.
     
13. 14th and 15th rnds: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 6. 1 sc in next ch-6 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 2. 1 dc in first sc.
     
14. 16th and 17th rnds: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 6. 1 sc in next ch-6 sp. Ch 3. Ss in first ch - picot made. 1 sc in same sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 3. 1 dc in first sc.
     
15. 18th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 7. 1 sc in next ch-6 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 3. 1 dc in first sc.
     
16. 19th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Ch 7. 1 sc in next ch-7 sp. Rep from * around, ending with ch 3. 1 dc in first sc. Fasten off.

Halo

1. With 2 strands of yarn, ch 30. Join with sl st to form a ring. Break one strand of yarn. With rem strand of yarn ch 1 and work 75 dc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Attatch to back of head.
    
2. Saturate Bodice, Skirt and Halo in crochet thread stiffener. Stretch and pin Bodice flat to plastic wrap covered surface. Shape Halo with hands. Stretch and pin Skirt on foam cone and remove when dry.
    
3. Glue Bodice to Skirt and fold Bodice to form wings as illustrated.
