Materials: Sport Yarn 4 ozs
Crochet Hooks Size D or 3.00 mm and E or 3.50 mm
4 Buttons
2 Yds of ½" Wide Flower Trim
Tapestry Needle
Size: 18" (20") chest
Length to Shoulder 12 ½" (14 ½")
Sleeve Seam 2 ½"
Yoke: Using smaller hook, ch 117 (123), and beg at lower edge of yoke.
Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end. Turn. 115 (121) dc.
Row 2: Ch 3 to count as first dc, skip first dc, 1 dc in each dc, ending with 1 dc in 3rd ch
of ch-3. Turn.
Divide for Armholes: Next row Ch 3 to counts as 1 dc, 1 dc in each of next 24 (25) dc.
Turn.
Left Back: Work on these 25 (26) sts for left back first.
Next Row: Ch 3, yo, insert hook in next dc, yo and draw through a loop, yo and draw
through 2 loops on hook, yo, insert hook in next dc, yo and draw through a loop, yo and
draw through 2 loops on hook, yo and draw through rem 3 loops on hook – called dc 1 –
1 dc in each st to end. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 3, 1 dc in each st to end. Turn.Rep last 2 rows once more 23 (24) sts. Work 4 (6) rows even, ending at armhole edge.
Shape Neck and Shoulder:
Next Row: Ch 3, 1 dc in each next 10 dc, dec 1, 1 dc in next dc. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 3, dec 1, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, 1 sc in each of next 2 dc, sl st in next
dc. Fasten off.
Return to sts that were left, skip first 8 (9) dc for armhole, rejoin yarn to next dc, ch 3 to
count as 1 dc, 1 dc in each of next 48 (50) dc. Turn. 49 (51)
Front: Work these 49 (51) sts for front first. Dec one st at each end of next and foll
alternate row. 45 (47) sts. Work 4 (6) rows even.
Shape Neck:
Next Row: Ch 3, 1 dc in each of next 9 dc, dec 1, 1 dc in next dc. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 3, dec 1, 1 dc in each st to end. Fasten off.
Return to sts that were left, skip next 19 (21) sts for center front neck, rejoin yarn to
next dc, ch 3, dec 1, 1 dc in each st to end. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 3, 1 dc in each of next 9 dc, dec 1, 1 dc in last st. Fasten off.
Return to sts that were left, skip next 8 (9) dc, rejoin yarn to next dc, ch 3, 1 dc in each
dc to end. Turn.
Right Back: Complete to match left back, reversing shaping.
Skirt: Using larger hook and RS of work facing, rejoin yarn to beg of starting ch at
opposite edge, ch 4, 1 dc in first st at edge, * skip 2 ch, 7 dc in next ch - 1 shell made –,
skip 2 ch, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch, rep from * to end. Turn. 19 (20) shells.
Next Row: Ch 4, 1 dc in ch-2 sp, * skip first dc of shell, 1 dc in each of next 5 dc, (1dc, ch
2, 1 dc) in ch-2 sp, repeat from * to end. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 4, 1 dc in ch-2 sp, * 7 dc in 3rd of 5 dc, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in ch-2 sp, rep
from * to end. Turn.
Repeat last 2 rows 8 (10) times, then work first of them again.
Next Row: (Picot Row):Ch 1, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, * ch 3, sl st in first of these 3 ch, 1

Sleeves: Join shoulder seams. Using larger hook and RS of work facing, rejoin yarn to
5th (6th) of 8 (9) dc at underarm, ch 4, 1 dc in same dc, skip 3 dc, 1 dc in first row end at
side of armhole, (skip first row, 1 dc, ch 2, and 1 dc in next row, skip next row, 7 dc in
next row) twice.
First Size Only: Skip next row, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in shoulder seam, skip next row.
Second Size Only: Skip next row, 1 dc, ch 2, and 1 dc in next row, skip next row, 7 dc in
shoulder seam, skip next row, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next row, skip next row
Both Size: 7 dc in next row, skip next row, 1 dc, ch 2 and 1 dc in next row, skip next row)
twice, 7 dc in next row, skip next 3 (4) dc, 1 dc, ch 2 and 1 dc in next dc. Turn. 6 (7)
shells.
Work 5 rows in pattern as given for skirt.
Change to smaller hook.
Next Row: Ch 3, 1 dc in ch-2 group, * 1 dc in first, 3rd and 5th of 5-dc group, 1 dc in ch-2
sp, repeat from * to end, ending with 1 dc in turning ch. Turn.
Next Row: Work as given for picot row of skirt. Fasten off.
To Finish: Join sleeve seams. Join back seam of skirt, leaving 1" open at top.
Back and Neck Edging: Using smaller hook and with RS of work facing, work a sc up left
back edge, making 4 button loops of 3 ch evenly spaced between top of skirt and neck
edge, work picot row around neck, then work sc down right back edge. Fasten off.
Press seams lightly under a damp cloth with a warm iron. Sew flowered trimming in
position all around waist and sleeve edges and sew 3 strip of trimming across front
yoke. Sew on buttons.
