INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 3 sts.  Knit 24 rows (12  garter ridges).  Turn and pick up and knit 12 stitches along edge of tab, turn and pick up and knit 3 stitches in cast-on edge.

Set-up Rows:
Row 1:  (RS) K3, YO, K5, yo, K1, pm, K1, yo, K5, yo, K3.  11 sts each side of center marker.
Row 2:  (WS) K3, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3. 12 sts each side of center.
Row 3:  (RS) K3, yo, K to 1 st before center marker, yo, K1, sm, K1, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, K3.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until there are 29 sts each side of center marker.  End by working a right-side row.  Continue as follows:

Row 1:  (WS)  K3, yo, P1, *yo, P2 tog* to 1 st before center marker, P1, sm, P1, *P2 tog, yo* to 4 sts before end, P1, yo, K3.
Row 2:  (RS) K3, yo, K to 1 st before center marker, yo, K1, sm, K1, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, K3.
Row 3:  (WS)  K3, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, K3.
Row 4:  (RS)   Repeat row 2
Row 5:  (WS)  Repeat row 3
Row 6:  (RS)   Repeat row 2
Row 7:  (WS)  K3, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3.
Row 8:  (RS)   Repeat row 2  
Row 9:  (WS)  K3, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, K3.
Row 10: (RS)   Repeat row 2
Row 11: (WS)  Repeat row 9.
Row 12:  (RS)   Repeat row 2 -  47 sts    (18 sts increased ea side of center every 12-row repeat)

Repeat rows 1-12 four times more, then rows 1-5 once more - 126 sts each side of center marker.

Begin lace pattern:

Row 1:  K3, yo, K1, pm, *K1, yo, K3, sk2p, K3, yo* to 2 sts before center marker, pm, K1, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K1, pm, *yo, K3, sk2p, K3, yo, K1* to last 4 sts, pm, K1, yo, K3.

Row 2 and all WS rows thru Row 8 .  K3, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3.

Row 3:  K3, yo, K3, sm, *K2, yo, K2, sk2p, K2, yo, K1* to next marker, sm, K2, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K2, sm, *K1, yo, K2, sk2p, K2, yo, K2*, sm, K3, yo, K3.

Row 5:  K3, yo, K5, sm, *K3, yo, K1, sk2p, K1, yo, K2*, to next marker, sm, K3, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K3, sm, *K2, yo, K1, sk2p, K1, yo, K3*, sm, K5, yo, K3.

Row 7:  K3, yo, K7, sm, *K4, yo, sk2p, yo, K3, sm, * K4, yo, K1, slip centermarker, K1, yo, K4, sm, *K3, yo, sk2p, yo, K4,* K7, yo, K3.

Row 9:  (RS) K3, yo, purl to 1 st before center marker, yo, P1, slip center marker, P1, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3.

Row 10: (WS)  K3, yo, K10, remove marker, K to last marker, remove marker, K10, yo, K3.

Row 11:  K3, yo, K1, pm, *K1, yo, K3, sk2p, K3, yo* to next marker, sm, K6, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K6, sm, *yo, K3, sk2p, K3, yo, K1* to last 4 sts, pm, K1, yo, K3.

Row 12 and all ws rows thru Row 18.  K3, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3.

Row 13:  K3, yo, K3, sm,  *K2, yo, K2, sk2p, K2, yo, K1* to next marker, sm, K2, yo, K7, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K7, sm, *K1, yo, K2, sk2p, K2, yo, K2*, sm, K3, yo, K3.   

Row 15:  K3, yo, K5, sm, *K3, yo, K1, sk2p, K1, yo, K2*, sm, K8, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K8, sm, *K2, yo, K1, sk2p, K1, yo, K3*, sm, K5, yo, K3.

Row 17:  K3, yo, K7, sm, *K4, yo, sk2p, yo, K3,*, sm, K9, yo, K1, slip center marker, K1, yo, K9, sm, *K3, yo, sk2p, yo, K4*, sm, K7, yo, K3.

Row 19: (RS) K3, yo, purl to 1 st before center marker, yo, P1, slip center marker, P1, yo, P to last 3 sts, yo, K3.
    
Note:  After completion of row 20 there should be a multiple of 10 + 6 sts  (156 after first repeat).  If by chance an extra st has been picked up or lost, work an increase or decrease as necessary to end with the correct number of sts.  After the second repeat of these 20 rows, there should be 186 sts.

Row 20:  (WS)  K3, yo, knit to last 3 sts (removing all markers except center marker), yo, K3. 

Repeat rows 1-20 once more.

Border:  K3, yo, K to 1 st before center marker, yo, K1, sm, K1, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, K3
Repeat this row two times more, ending with a right-side row.
Bind off loosely. (You may want to bind off with a larger gauge needle to make sure bind off is not too tight.)

Blocking:  Dampen shawl and block to measurements, placing a pin in each point along edge of shawl.

Level:  Intermediate (lace, yo's, sk2p and p2 tog decreases)
Size:  ~69" long x 27" high (44" along one side)
Materials: 
Gauge:  5 sts=1" in St st
Abbreviations: 
sk2p – sl 1, K2 tog, pass slip st over
rs – right side
ws – wrong side
pm – place marker
sm – slip marker

Panda Silk
Baby Bubbles Smock

One Size: 0-6 months, loose fitting garment, length approx. 10 inches (25 cm)
Increase length by knitting extra rows of bobble pattern as desired.

Materials
3 - 50 gr balls(bamboo-SW wool-silk) #3003 color "strawberry cream" 
2 sizes Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles: larger size for 31 sts/4 inches, then 1 size smaller for ribbing. Thus if you get the gauge on size 2s, use 1.5-1s for ribbing & 16" circular needle in larger size for yoke.
4 Stitch Holders
Tapestry Needle for assembling
3 buttons

Abbreviations
K; knit; beg: beginning; cont: continue; foll: following; inc: increase; K2tog: knit 2 sts together; P: purl; patt: pattern; psso: pass slipped st over; rep: repeat; sl: slip; st(s): stitch(es); St st: stockinette stitch; tbl: through back of loop; tog: together; y fwd: yarn forward - bring yarn under needle, then over into knitting position again, thus making a st; yon: yarn over needle - take yarn over top of needle into knitting position, thus making a st; yrn: yarn round needle - take yarn right around needle into purling position, thus making a s

10th row � P1, * inc in next st, P2, rep from * to end [53 sts].
Work in patt as for Back and Front until work measures approx 6 inches (15 cm) or length desired from row of holes at hem, ending with an 8th or 16th patt row.
Shape raglan � Keeping patt correct, bind off 6 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec at each end of next and alt rows until 33 sts rem.
Next row � * P2 tog, P1, rep from * to end [22 sts].
Leave sts on a stitch-holder.

Yoke
Using back-stitch, join raglan seams. With right side facing and beg at right back raglan seam, slip all sts from stitch-holders on to Circular Needle (matching larger size needle) [138 sts].
Slip first 26 sts of Back onto other end of needle.
1st row � Cast on 5 sts for underlap, knit to end, dec once in center of front [142 sts].
2nd and 3rd rows � Knit.
4th row � K5, * yrn, P2 tog, rep from * to last 5 sts, K5.
Knit 3 rows.
8th row � K5, purl to last 5 sts, K5.
9th row � K7, * K2 tog, K3, rep from * to last 5 sts, K5 [116 sts].
10th row � As 8th row.
11th row � Knit to last 3 sts, y fwd, K2tog (buttonhole), K1.
Rep rows 2 thru 8 once.
19th row � K7, * K2 tog, K2, rep from *to last 5 sts, K5 [90 sts].
Rep 10th and 11th rows once, then rows 2 thru 8 once.
29th row � K7, * K2 tog, K3, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3 [74 sts].
30th row � As 8th row.
Change to smaller Needles for Neckband.
1st row�Knit to last 3 sts, y fwd, K2 tog, K1.
